Eden Hazard scores staggering solo objective for Chelsea against Arsenal

Eden Hazard scored a goal of-the-season contender to place Chelsea in the driving seat against Arsenal on Saturday evening.

With the Blues safeguarding a questionable 1-0 lead in the Premier League conflict at Stamford Bridge, the Belgian grabbed the ball inside his own half and started his progress towards the Gunners' backline.

In spite of the fact that one mighty test would have put paid to any sniff of an objective, the Arsenal players were not able end the brightness and self-control Hazard showed; first beating Laurent Koscielny, before outmuscling Francis Coquelin, who was amazed

He continued his run with the presence of Koscielny in his immediate vicinity, but the playmaker kept his cool to complete the move with a neat finish over Petr Cech, sending Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wild in the technical area.

The Blues had taken the lead in controversial circumstances as Marcos Alonso headed home, and Cesc Fabregas completed the rout with a lob over Cech, before Olivier Giroud grabbed a consolation.

Chelsea's 3-1 win leaves Arsenal trailing the league leaders by 12 points, with 14 games left to play.
